IT’S MORE THAN JUST MUSIC

 

THE MUSIC WITH A MESSAGE BAND IS A GROUP OF 25 PERFORMERS, AGES 6-21, WHO TRAVEL ACROSS NEW YORK CITY, PERFORMING UPLIFTING MUSIC FOR THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE EACH YEAR.

SINCE 2001, WE HAVE PERFORMED AT VENUES LIKE YANKEE STADIUM, CARNEGIE HALL, LINCOLN CENTER, THE APOLLO, THE NEW SCHOOL, NYC SUMMER STAGE, AND MORE.

How To Audition

Audition Dates:

April 19, 5pm-8pm

April 20, 2pm-5pm

April 22, 4pm-6pm

April 25, 4pm-6pm

Prepare a 1-minute performance showcasing your talent. Auditions are open to musicians (all instruments welcome!), rappers, singers, producers, poets, dancers, and stage technicians ages 6-21.* Check the calendar for audition dates.

 If you possess more than one talent that you would like to audition for, please either 

1. Perform both talents together (Ex: singing and playing guitar) or 

2. Split the 1-minute time frame to include both acts separately (Ex: dancing for 30 seconds and playing keyboard or the remaining 30 seconds) 

Note: If you get a callback, you will be asked to perform the talents individually. (Ex: Sing a cappella)


What comes next? 

If selected, you will receive an invitation to our callbacks shortly after your audition.
