For 25 years, Renaissance Youth Center has been a home and a beacon for South Bronx families. This year, everything changed—we officially own our building!
Thanks to your support, we’ll save over $500,000 a year and reinvest it directly into our youth. Ownership gives us the stability to grow, including completing our 4th and 5th floors to welcome hundreds more students. We still have big transition costs ahead, but with your continued support, we can build the magical, long-term home our kids deserve.

Our Saturday Beginner Coding students have been diving into circuits and sensors, creating hands-on projects designed to solve real community challenges—like building a water-level alert system.

Young people need connection to their community, and the community needs connection to young people. But the Bronx has the highest youth disconnection rate in the city (18%), with over 30,000 young people between 16 and 24 who are not in
school or working. Your support is changing that reality.
As of September, Renaissance Youth Center was connecting with 4,300 young people a week. Several of our programs are specifically designed to reach and engage disconnected youth, including NeON Arts and our Youth Council.

STEM jobs are among the fastest-growing and best-paying careers—but too many young people in the South Bronx lack access to quality programs that spark curiosity and build real-world skills. At Renaissance, we’re changing that through hands-on STEM learning that makes science, coding, robotics, and engineering come alive. From Battle Bots and 3D printing to free Robotics Fairs, BioBlitz adventures, and “STEM in a Box” lessons in local schools, our students are building, experimenting, problem-solving—and having fun while preparing for the future.
